IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Scott Bradley
Leal
October 22, 1961 – June 28, 2024
Scott Leal, son of Gonzalo and Judith Leal, was born on October 22nd, 1961 in Batavia, Illinois. The fourth of eight children, his childhood in suburban Chicago was filled with lots of adventures and mischief with family and friends. His fondest memories of this time were going camping with his family and attending church camp. From this point forward, his love of the outdoors would be a cornerstone of the rest of his life. When Scott was 16, his family moved to Harrison, where he attended and graduated Harrison High School in 1979.
Scott was an avid outdoorsman, whose favorite activities included driving fast, deer and turkey hunting, paddling the Buffalo River, fishing, camping, riding ATVs, mowing his yard, and spending time with his family and friends. He always loved a party, and somehow always found himself at the center of attention. His charismatic personality, positive attitude, and zest for life made him a magnetic figure for those who knew him. His legendary work ethic was something he was especially proud of, much to the dismay of the thousands of people who worked for him during his 38 years as General Manager of McDonalds. However, for those who managed to stick around, a caring, compassionate leader emerged who would do anything for his people. After leaving McDonald's, he spent time building custom log homes, and finally as a real estate agent for Remax and United Country.
He quietly departed this life on June 28th, 2024, at Hospice of the Hills House in Harrison, Arkansas, surrounded by his wife and children. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his older brother, Kevin.
His wonderful life will forever be cherished by his loving wife Sherrie; his children: Amanda Williams and her husband Michael of Harrison, Mark Leal of Harrison, and Cory Leal and his fiancé Mia of Denver, CO; step children: Blake Coffey and James Coffey; nine grandchildren: Makenna, Londyn, Madison, Kinley, Chloe, Makai, Marleigh, Harley, and Silas; brothers: Terry and Shawn; sisters: Betty, Kim, Diane, and Stephanie; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and too many friends to count.
A visitation will be held at Bear Creek Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, July 13th (2024) from 1:00 to 3:00 PM; with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 3:00 PM. Pastor Rick Moore will officiate.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers and if you feel led, memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network online, in memory of Scott; or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, c/o Beth Leal, 3111 N. Pyrite Drive, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
Arrangements under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. On-line condolences can be left at www.coffmanfh.com.
