Sandra Lee “Sandy” Hallmark, age 74, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

The only daughter of Fritz and Treva (Wolfgang) Zurga was born in Harrison on December 24, 1951.

She liked animals, and loved her dog Peta and cat, Gibbs. She loved feeding birds and looked forward to the hummingbirds returning every spring to their feeders. She was an amazing cook and baker. Her granddaughters particularly enjoyed her sweet potatoes and cherry fluff. She also enjoyed watching NCIS and Dancing with the Stars.

Sandy was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She was generous and kind with a great sense of humor. She relished chances to catch a family member off guard with her witty antics, practical jokes, and pranks.

Sandy loved her family and her granddaughters were her world. Her circle was small, but it was full of love, respect and care for one another.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fritz Zurga; her mother Treva Daniels; her stepfather, Bert Daniels, Sr., who helped raise her, after losing her dad at an early age; and her husband, Johnny L. Hallmark.

Sandy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Freddy and Lori Hallmark; her daughter, Bridgette Hallmark; her granddaughters, Emily Hallmark and Savanna Hallmark; her sister-in-law and husband, Linda and John Adams and sister-in-law, Laverne Hallmark; and her extended family.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
