Obituary

Marie Davis, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at the age of 53. Born on August 29, 1971, in Harrison, Arkansas, Marie spent her life surrounded by the love of family and friends.

A proud graduate of Mt. Judea High School's Class of 1989, Marie pursued her passion for teaching and earned her Bachelor's degree from Arkansas Tech University. She went on to inspire young minds as an elementary teacher, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike.

Marie married the love of her life, Tony Davis, at just 18 years old. Together, they created a family filled with love and devotion. She was a proud mother to two cherished daughters, Ashley and Christina, whose husbands, Tyler Campbell and Dustin Reddell, became beloved members of her family. Marie found her greatest joy in her role as "Grandma" to her three treasured grandchildren, Annalise Campbell, Theo Campbell, and Daxton Reddell. She delighted in sharing stories about her family, her pride evident in every word and her smile lighting up the room.

Known for her humor and quick wit, Marie was never one to miss an opportunity for a clever joke or a heartfelt conversation. Though her health challenges in later years kept her closer to home, she found joy in word searches, trivia, reading, and the company of her loved ones. She became known for her exceptional one-handed texting skills, a testament to her determination and adaptability.

Marie is survived by her devoted husband of 35 years, Tony Davis; her daughters, Ashley Campbell and Christina Reddell; her sons-in-law, Tyler Campbell and Dustin Reddell; her treasured grandchildren, Annalise Campbell, Theo Campbell, and Daxton Reddell; her loving mother, Wilma Middleton-Horsey; and her stepfather, David Horsey. She is also survived by her sister, Julia Anderson, and her husband, Chris, whom she lovingly regarded as a brother. Marie's extended family includes her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Kenny and Reesha Davis, and Maria and Adam Clark, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who adored her.

Marie is preceded in death by her father, Robert Middleton, her grandfather, Town "TW" Dean, and her grandmother, Zella Dean. In her final moments, she spoke of seeing her grandmother once again, a comforting reminder of the love that awaited her beyond this life.

Marie's warmth, humor, and unwavering love leave a legacy that will never fade. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
