Russell Faddis, age 87, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at The Springs of Mt. Vista on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

The son of Cecil and Gladys (Sisco) Faddis was born June 13, 1935 at Compton, Arkansas. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County and attended Capps Full Gospel Church.

He retired from the City of Harrison in 2000 after working there over 30 years.  He was also a retired cattle farmer. Russell enjoyed going to auctions and yard sales and buying and collecting tools.  He loved listening to bluegrass music and attending the local bluegrass festivals.  He also built and sold trailers.  Russell was hardworking and never met a stranger.  He loved to joke around and cut-up with family and friends. He especially loved his grandsons, and was always there for them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Joyce Faddis; a son, Michael Faddis, Sr.; a brother, Donnie Faddis, and a sister, Wanda Henderson.

Russell is survived by his sons, William Faddis and James Faddis; four grandsons, Michael Faddis, Jr., Matthew Faddis and wife Alyssa, Jonathan Faddis, and Tyler Faddis; a great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and many good friends.

Graveside service will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Plumlee Cemetery.

Open visitation will be Monday, March 6, from 9 AM to 5 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Pallbearers are Michael Faddis, Jr., Matthew Faddis, Jonathan Faddis, Tyler Faddis, Terry Barton, and Shelvy Arbaugh.

Honorary pallbearers are William Faddis, Carl Tansley, Doug Cone, and Larry Humphry.
