Obituary
Ruby E. Watson, age 91 of Nail, AR, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007 in Harrison, AR.
She was born July 18, 1916 at Walnut, AR, the daughter of Hiram C. and Matty (Copeland) Norton. She was a homemaker, a member of Nail Baptist Church, and had been a lifelong resident of Newton County. She wrote the Nail news for the Newton County Times for many years.
Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, Troy Watson, in 1995; two brothers, Harold D. Norton and James Avery Norton; and two grandchildren.
Survivors are her sons, Argus Watson of Clinton, OH and Rodger Watson of Jasper; her daughter, Jewell Estylene Burns of Edwards, MO; a brother, John Norton of Good Springs, TN; twelve grandchildren; and many great and great great grandchildren.
Visitation 6-8 P.M. Friday, September 7, 2007 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Service 2 P.M. Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Nail Church with Bobby Young and Stanley Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Nail Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons and great grandsons.
