Ruby Risley, age 83 of Peel, Arkansas, passed from this life on May 15, 2008 at the Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison. She was born March 22, 1925, the daughter of Troy Benton Risley and Garla (Barkheimer) Risley.

She was a lifelong resident of Marion County. She was owner and operator of Ruby's Beauty Shop in Lead Hill, Arkansas for many years, where she developed many friendships. She was a member of the Peel Baptist Church.

Her parents preceded her in death along with two brothers, Park and Bernard Risley and one sister, Dottie Kaye Risley.

Survivors include one brother, Luster Risley of Harrison and one sister, Ruth Evans of Peel; six nephews; and four nieces.

Services were Monday, May 19,2008 at Coffman Chapel in Harrison with Rev. Carroll Johnson officiating. There was a visitation held Sunday. Burial was in the Peel Cemetery under direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were relatives and friends. Honorary pallbearers were Woodrow and Oma Gaines, Greg and Joyce Bell, Dr. Brownfield, and the Staff of the Golden Living Hilltop Nursing Center and Hospice of the Hills.
