Nichols
October 26, 1931 – November 15, 2018
Ruby was born in Red Rock, Arkansas and moved to California when she was approx. 14 yrs. Old. She was preceded in death by her Husband Woodroe W. Nichols in 2010. She met Woodroe and were married on October 23, 1948 in Reno, Nevada. Although they were born only miles from each other in Arkansas they never knew each other until they met in California when Woodroe got out of the Navy after WWII. They had three Children all born in Richmond, CA. Eric Nichols (San Francisco) Rodger Nichols and wife Heidi (Youngsville, LA.) and Myra (Nichols) Walker and husband Brian (Bonney Lake, WA). Five Grandchildren, Bill Whitney and wife Kimmie (Oakley, CA.) Amber Walker (Buckley, WA) Jason Walker (Buckley, WA.) Damon Nichols (Greeley, CO) and Woody Nichols (Lafayette, LA.) Four Great Grand Children, Anthony Whitney, Tannen Walker, Trinity Nichols and Zander Nichols.
She had 7 sisters and 3 brothers. Dean, Jody, Virginia, Ava, Bill, Lymon and Curgus who preceded her in death and Maggie (CA.), Sue (OR.) and Barbara (AZ.)
Ruby loved to fish, hunt and go camping with the family. Ruby was in the Order of the Eastern Star of California and she was a volunteer at the VA Hospital in Reno, NV for 14 years. They lived in Reno for over 40 yrs.
Ruby will be buried next to Woodroe in the Mt. Judea Cemetery Mt. Judea, AR. With Services at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the Mt. Judea Church of Christ with Dennis Tennison officiating. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to your favorite Charity.
