Roy Lee Villines, age 78 of Lead Hill, Arkansas passed away Saturday March 9, 2019 in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Oliver and Jocie Lorene (Clark) Villines was born on March 10, 1940 in Low Gap, Arkansas.
Roy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his horses and tending to his garden. Roy and his wife of 55 years, Nancy, were devoted to each other and he was her primary caretaker for 9 years when her abilities declined. He was a member of Monarch Tabernacle Church since the 70's and was a board member for many years. His true calling was to be a man of humble service and that was his real legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Verna Brown and Flora Clary.
Roy is survived by his wife, Nancy (King) Villines of Lead Hill; 2 daughters, Cheri Villines and partner Tim McCormick of Elkins, Arkansas and Cindy Gullett and husband Kyle of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a brother, James Villines of Lead Hill; 2 sisters, Lucille Mathews of Rogers, Arkansas and Shelia Tucker of Lead Hill; 3 grandchildren, Christopher Villines and wife Mariah, Amanda Nordhues and husband Michael and Colby Gullett and wife Kasey; 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Services were held Thursday, March 14, 2019 at 11:00 am at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Barry O'Neal and Jack O'Neal officiating. Burial followed in Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill with the graveside service being officiated by Jim Villines. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
Pallbearers included Chris Villines, Daniel Smith, William Smith, Brandon Smith, Billy Clay Clary and James Roy Clary. Honorary pallbearers were James Villines, Shelia Tucker and Carey Tucker.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Milum Cemetery Fund, PO Box 302, Lead Hill, AR 72644.
