Obituary
Roy E. Monnier was born June 21, 1920 in Antioch, Illinois and passed away Saturday, August 9, 2008 in Harrison.
He enjoyed fishing, country music and watching the Green Bay Packers. He served in the US Army during WWII and worked as a machinist for a canning manufacturer.
He was married to his beloved wife, Pearl for 62 years, who preceded him in death. His parents, Edward Lorenzo and Margaret Elizabeth (Staffon) Monnier also preceded him in death along with 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
Roy is survived by his twin brother, Ray Monnier; his sons, David, Tom and Steve Monnier; his daughters, Carla and Julie Monnier; grandchilden, Chad, Cody, Chloe, and Jason, along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Thursday, August 14, 2008 with funeral service Friday, August 15th at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Rev. John Darnall officiated Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dave, Tom, Steve, Chad, Cody Monnier, and Dennis Jones.
