Roy A. Collins, age 66 of Mt. Judea, Arkansas passed away Thursday, January 31, 2013 at his home.
The son of Harve and Iva (Flud) Collins was born April 18, 1946 in Piercetown, Arkansas.
He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, fishing, and walking on the beach. He especially enjoyed "crawdadding" with his grandchildren on the White River.
He was a devoted husband, daddy, and papa who loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Kenneth and Coy Collins.
Survivors are his wife, of 43 years Sue Collins of the home; son, Greg Collins of Mt. Judea; daughters, Kim Robinson and husband Chris of Pindall, Arkansas, Mary Jones and husband Rob of Everton, Arkansas and Cindy Weaver and husband John of Yellville, Arkansas; brother, Doy Collins of Piercetown, Arkansas; sisters, Mildred Freeman of Piercetown, Arkansas and Mae Robertson of Harrison, Arkansas; grandchildren, Austin Jones, Cody Weaver, Tristan Collins, Mattie Weaver, and Ashton Collins; and many other family and friends.
Visitation was Sunday, February 3, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, Arkansas.
Service was Monday, February 4, 2013 at Coffman Chapel with Rev. Don Robinson and Kenneth Campbell offficiating.
Burial followed in Mt. Judea Cemetery with pallbearers being Weston Martin, Jordan Nichols, Scott Collins, Chris Collins, Josh Nichols, Jeff Nichols, and Austin Collins.
Honorary pallbearers were Dent Nichols, Troy Royce, his grandchildren, and the staff of Hospice of the Hills.
