IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Rosie Lee
Bland
April 30, 1950 – May 2, 2025
Rosie Lee Bland was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison. She was 75 years old.
The daughter of the late L.A. Rogers and Rhoda M. (Risley) Rogers Richardson, Rosie was born on April 30, 1950, in Harrison. She was a lifelong resident of Boone County and a 1968 graduate of Lead Hill High School. Rosie had worked at Levi-Strauss and Ark-Rod for several years.
Rosie was a faithful member of Union Road Assembly of God for over 40 years. She served as a Sunday School Teacher and had currently been serving as the church secretary. Known for her Godly and faithful nature, she loved the Lord and her church family deeply. Rosie was a fierce prayer warrior for her family and a true example of a Proverbs 31 virtuous woman.
Rosie, as she was lovingly known by her family, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her life, and she oversaw them as a "mama bear," always taking care of each of their needs and worrying over them. She loved unconditionally and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
Rosie's life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength, cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Renee Evans; a granddaughter, Holly Mitchell; and a great grandchild, Jordan Evans.
Rosie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Gary R. Bland; her daughter, Marlenia Mitchell, and son-in-law, Shane; three grandchildren, Heather Mitchell, Clint (Courtney) Evans, and Jessalyn (Kurdt) Foy; nine great grandchildren, Jaylee, Audree, Payzli, Adeline, Loki, Phoenix, Xavier, Kaiden, and Renee; and a host of cousins, dear friends, and her beloved church family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 5, from 6 PM to 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. The funeral service will take place at 2 PM at Coffman Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, with Rev. Clayton Journagen officiating. Burial will follow at Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill.
Pallbearers will be Clint Evans, Jon Billings, Bob White, Cody Blankenship, Kelly Blankenship, Josh Saylors, and Garrett Billings.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her Union Road Assembly of God Church family for all the love and many prayers that have been said on their behalf.
