Obituary

Ronny Dale Burdine, of Harrison, Arkansas, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 19, 2020 at the age of 56.

He was born at Kansas City, Missouri to parents Robert Nelson Burdine and Helen (Smith) Burdine on July 26, 1963. He lived in Boone County most of his life. He was a 1982 graduate of Valley Springs, where he was known as the "popcorn guy" at ballgames. Ronny was an employee of Tyson's for the past 17 years and ran a lawn service in his spare time.

Ronny was a member of Harrison First Assembly of God in Harrison for over 30 years. When he wasn't working, Ronny devoted all of his free time to serving at church. He worked hard and was the first to volunteer when something needed to be done. He ran the sound booth, drove the youth bus on countless trips and anything else that needed to be done. He was a mentor and father figure to many kids and left a lasting impact on what it meant to be a servant of the Lord.

Ronny was a Jack of All Trades and he had a huge heart. He was a loving son and awesome brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family and was loved by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Claude and Edath Smith, Rufus Burdine and Frank and Margaret Cheatum.

Ronny is survived by his mother and step-father, Helen and Chuck Sippel; step-son, Danny Tibbie and his children; two brothers, Michael (Sara) Burdine and Robert (Nickey) Burdine, Jr., his sister, Karen Burdine (Steve) Schlueter; nephews, Jeremiah and Nathan; niece, Abi and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends who loved him and will miss him.

Funeral will be at 11 AM, Thursday, June 25 at Harrison First Assembly with Rev. Dennis Selvidge officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
