IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronnie Lee
Rose
November 7, 1956 – August 14, 2021
Ronnie Lee Rose was born to Virginia Kelley and Leon Rose on November 7, 1956 in Marshall, Arkansas. He spent the next 64 years indelibly impacting the community around him before passing away on Saturday, August 14, 2021.
Ronnie graduated from Harrison High School in 1975, where he shined on the basketball court. After graduating high school, Ronnie attended North Arkansas College where he played on the schools first ever basketball team. He later went to work at Duncan Industries for many years.
He was a master outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting anything that walked. Ronnie was also a man of deep faith. He was a past deacon at Northvale Baptist Church where he positively impacted many young people as a youth group and mission project leader. Ronnie was a son of God, a husband and father, and was the best grandfather. Ever. He loved cooking for family and friends and enjoyed gardening with Granny Pearl. Ronnie also loved running to the donut shop and picking up his grandkids from school. More importantly Ronnie was there when anyone needed him, not to judge, but to listen and love and to be a rock for them. He traveled to be with his people, even when it hurt. He loved people and never hesitated to show it.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Leon Rose; stepfather, Bud Kelley; mother-in-law, Pearl Edwards; grandson, Reece Rose; and a brother-in-law, Donnie Cobb.
Survivors include his darling wife of 24 years, Joyce (Edwards) Rose; children, Ryan Rose and wife, Mandy, and Rebecca Walker and husband, Doug; five grandchildren, Robbyn Schoonover and husband, Robert, Bane Gibson, Eli Walker, Kennedy Walker, and Reed Rose, who were the center of his universe and his legacy to this world. He is also survived by his mother, Virginia Kelley; his sisters, Kathy McPhearson and husband, Steve, Shari Cobb, and Susi Winkler; a brother, Randy Rose and wife, Lena; and a host nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will hold a private memorial service. He will be laid to rest at White Oak Cemetery.
Flowers are appreciated; however, the family would also appreciate donations to the GoFundMe for the Kiwanis Fishing Derby, gofund.me/2e5lc525, or mail them directly to Kiwanis, P.O. Box 983, Harrison, AR 72602.
