IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Eugene
Peters
May 3, 1960 – November 29, 2025
Ronald Eugene Peters of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was 65 years old. A devoted family member, loyal friend, and passionate car enthusiast, Ron lived a life marked by curiosity, craftsmanship, and an appreciation for engines that told a story.
The son of Gerald and Bonnie (Howard) Peters was born on May 3, 1960 in Rochelle, Illinois. Ron moved to Harrison, Arkansas in 1975 with his family and became a lifelong resident. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ. From a young age, Ron found joy under the hood of a car—first helping with small repairs and eventually developing a lifelong passion for collecting, restoring, and preserving classic automobiles. His garage was more than a workspace; it was a sanctuary filled with chrome, history, and the satisfaction of bringing machines back to life. Each vehicle he owned held meaning, whether it was a rare find, a painstaking restoration, or simply a car that made him smile.
Ron will be remembered for his generous spirit and unwavering dedication to the people he cherished. Ron enjoyed the many good times he had with his family, especially his kids and grandkids, who will forever hold his memory close. In the end, all Ron wanted was to be sure he had shared the precious love of Christ and His saving grace with all who crossed his path.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald D. Peters, Sr., mother, Bonnie S. Peters, and grandchild, Baby Fox.
Survivors include one son, Jesse Peters and wife Brandie of Greeley, Iowa, one daughter, Kathrine Fox and husband Stephen of Ozark, Missouri, six grandchildren, Cassidy Jones and husband, Christopher, Kobe Peters, Samantha Peters, Lucas Peters, Jase Fox, and Emily Fox; and one great grandchild, River Kathrine Jones. Survivors also include brother, Jerry Peters and wife Judy, brother, Don Peters, sister, Carol Reddell and husband Jim, sister, Mary Bruce and husband Virl, and sister, Bonnie Mitchell.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 2 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM Wednesday, Dec. 3 (2025) at Northside Church of Christ with Jerry "Cub" Scott officiating. Burial will follow at Free Union Cemetery in Leota, Missouri.
Pallbearers are Jerry Scott, Stephen Fox, Kobe Peters, Lucas Peters, Robert Reddell, and Brian Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers are his son, Jesse Peters, daughter, Kathrine Fox, daughter-in-law, Brandie Peters, granddaughter, Cassidy Jones, granddaughter, Samatha Peters, grandson, Jase Fox, granddaughter, Emily Fox, brother, Jerry Peters, and sisters, Carol Reddell and Bonnie Mitchell.
Ron's life reminds us that joy can be found in the details—in the hum of an engine, in the shine of polished chrome, and in the moments we share with the people who matter most.
Memorials may be made to Paragould Children's Home or to St. Luke's Children's Hospital.
