Obituary

Ron M. Overman, 78, of Jasper, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022. He was born January 7, 1944, to Cecil Overman and Francis Smith. He was a 50-year member of the Jasper Church of God (Seventh Day).

He was a singer-songwriter and member of the 1960's rock band, Don and the Goodtimes, and 1970's contemporary Christian band, Yesterday, Today and Forever. He was a long-time pastor and enjoyed Bible studying and his flower garden.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and sister, Betty Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki Overman of Jasper; son, Jason Overman and wife Stephanie of Jasper; daughters, Sarah Leteta and husband Fred of Alberta, Canada and Beth Miller and husband Matt of Harrison; brother, David Overman of Walla Walla, Washington; sister, Vernie Murray of Bournie, Texas; grandchildren, Tabitha and Isaac Overman, Levi and Savannah Leteta and Phoebe and Madden Miller, and many beloved family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022 at Jasper Church of God (Seventh Day). Jason Overman will officiate. Burial will be in the Jasper Church of God (Seventh Day) Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Isaac Overman, Levi Leteta, Fred Leteta, Matt Miller, Tim Youngs, and John Youngs.

Honorary pallbearers are James Ollernshaw, David Noordzy, Gary Swearengin, Jay Wilson, and Scott Miller.
