Roger Allen Ricketts, age 59, of Marble Falls, Arkansas, passed away to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at his home. He was born on February 18, 1967, to Dorvin and Rosemary (Marshall) Ricketts. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Daisy (Martin) Ricketts and Leland and Minnie (Bolin) Marshall. His brother, Mark Allen Ricketts, his father-in-law, R.L. Waters; and eight grandbabies and a great grandson, who went on to be with Jesus before they were born. Roger is with them now, in his Heavenly home, where I'm sure they ran to him with open arms saying, "Welcome Home Papa!". 

Roger is survived by the love of his life of 41 years, Melanie (Waters) Ricketts. They were united in marriage on November 10, 1984. He is also survived by his two sons, Kurt Ricketts and Justin (Katelynn) Ricketts; his daughter, Amanda (David) Foster all of Marble Falls; his grandchildren, Connor, Wyatt, Kathrynn, Isacc, Oaklynn, Adalynn Ricketts, Desmond, Arieanna, and Braxton Foster; and a new granddaughter due in August, Rielle Ricketts; his brother and best friend, Wesley (Kim) Ricketts; and his sisters, Loravetta Ricketts, Becky Ricketts, Angel Ricketts, and Katrina (Brandon) McCallister; and his mother-in-law, Wanda Waters. He looks forward to meeting them all again in Heaven. Roger was a hard worker and always did the best he could to provide for his family. He loved each of you so much.

Roger was an avid collector of sports memorabilia; baseball cards, hot wheels, or anything that was old and not easily replaced. He loved to spend time trading cards with his buddies near and far. His favorite teams were the Arkansas Razorbacks, the KC Royals, KC Chiefs, and then the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved talking to his brother, Wes, and also his dad, when the Razorbacks would win a big game. Of course, that went for the Royals too. 

He was the storyteller of the family. His memory was impeccable. He made us all laugh with his stories and kept us on our toes at times. he loved his family and was always there for them. His grandkids loved when he chased them playing "Bear" and he also loved taking long walks with them. Roger loved sunsets and traveling on family trips.

Roger was a Minister of the Gospel. A writer of many songs and he was a member of Evangel Assembly of God Church. He witnessed for the Lord until the very end. His faith will continue to be his last testimony. What greater love is there than that?

Visitation will be Monday, August 10 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Evangel Assembly of God in Western Grove. Rev. James Compton and Rev. Bobby Young will officiate. 

Pallbearers are Kurt Ricketts, Justin Ricketts, Connor Ricketts, Wesley Ricketts, Jack Owens, Espn Daniels, Ryan Watson, Randy Reece, and Jonathon Ricketts. 

Honorary pallbearers are Jeff, Jody, and Colton Waters, Randall Lewis, David Foster, Chad Parker, Robert Peoples, Freddie Don Flud, Barry Poland, Rick Giddings, Mike Bentley, Richard Baucha, Mike Earwood, Richard Myrick, Ron Case, Wayne Hughes, Vernon Fowler, Brandon Brasel, His Nieces, Nephews, and His Grandchildren, that he loved and cherished. 

Message From Roger: 

Roger loved his family so much! He wants them to know that this isn't goodbye, it's just for a little while. He will meet them all again in Heaven. Serve the Lord with all your heart, pray, read your Bible, as for forgiveness of your sins.  Always have a "know so" salvation.

It's that simple. Choose this day who you will serve.
