Roger Ward Reese, Jr., of Bergman, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Washington Regional Medical Center. He was 78 years old.
The son of Roger Ward Reese, Sr., and Lillie Blanche (Webb) Reese was born December 4, 1947 in Dallas, Texas. He has lived in Arkansas for over 50 years and attended Dominion Life Church.
Roger was a Vietnam War Veteran and served in the US Army. He worked at Pace Industries for over 25 years and in his younger years, taught hunter's education.
He loved to hunt and fish, and he especially enjoyed deer hunting trips with his brother and nephew in Colorado. He enjoyed watching westerns on tv. Roger loved his family and spent every minute with them that he could. His nieces and nephews held a special place in his heart and he loved them like they were his own children. Roger loved the Lord, and he will be truly missed by everyone that knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bobby Jack Reese; a nephew, Keith Lee McKinnie, and a niece, Remicah Joann Reese.
Roger is survived by 5 siblings, Bonnie (Glen) Tharp, Cindy (John) McKinnie, Sherry (Roland) Summerall, Kathy (Steve) Grubb, and Randy (Connie) Reese; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many dear friends.
Visitation will be Friday, December 19, 2025 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Graveside service with military honors will be at Noon Saturday, December 20 at York Cemetery in Bergman under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home. Bro. Coma Rivers will officiate.
Pallbearers are Randy Reese, Jr., Hunter Reese, David Summerall, Matthew Grubb, John Valentine, Jr., and Roland Summerall.
Honorary pallbearers are his nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to York Cemetery Fund, PO Box 322, Bergman, AR, 72615 or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital.
