Obituary
Roger Dale Morris, Sr., of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Hospice House.
The son of Burlen Morris and Ophelia (Cromwell) Morris was born at Dyess, Arkansas on July 21, 1952. He was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War and a retired heavy equipment operator. Roger looked like a big bad biker but was a teddy bear on the inside and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Burlen Morris, his mother, Ophilia Romero, his step-father, Gerry Romero; his grandparents, Sarah and Malcom Cromwell; a brother, Dennis Morris and a daughter-in-law, Tina Morris.
Roger is survived by his wife, Sue Morris of the home; his children, John Morris, Roger Morris, Jr., and Michelle Morris all of Rockford, Illinois; eight grandchildren, four brothers, Bill Morris of Rockford, Illinois, Ray Healey of Canada, Clifford Healey of Colorado, Tim Healey of Florida; a sister, Angelia Pittman of Texas; four step children, Kelly Devinney of Texas, Jacob Devinney of California, Deanna McAlster of Kansas and Kirk Leck of Missouri; ten step-grandchildren; two aunts, Jeri Eaton (Ray Brown) and Robbie White (Larry) and a host of family and friends in Illinois.
Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Heath Kirkpatrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice House, 501 E. Sherman, Harrison, AR, 72601.
