William Roger Hammon, age 74, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home on Friday, December 9, 2022.

The son of William F. Hammon and Edmonia (Elumbaugh) Hammon Horst was born on December 4, 1948, in Harrisburg, Arkansas.

Roger was a resident of Harrison the past 5 years, moving from Terre Haute, Indiana.  He enjoyed attending Woodland Church from time to time.

He was a US Army Veteran, serving 2 tours during Vietnam.  He had been a long-haul truck driver for 18 years.  Roger enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR racing and vegetable gardening.  He loved visiting with family and talking to them on the phone.  He especially loved his grandchildren; they were his world.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son, Billy Lee Hammon.

Roger is survived by his son, Jason Hammon, and his children, Alyssa and Korey; his daughter, Angi Davis (John Huster) and her children, Kiersten and Katelin; his former wife and mother of his children, Tresa Hammon; and his brother, William LaVerle Hammon (Marcia), and niece, Missy and great niece, Madi; and a host of extended relatives and many friends who loved him and will miss him.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date in Terre Haute, Indiana.
