Rodolfo (Papang) Canoy, age 82 of Green Forest, Arkansas, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017.

He was born on March 23, 1935, in Vito Sagay City, Philippines, the son of Pedro and Ignacia Canoy.

Mr. Canoy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosita and one sister Eva.

Rodolfo was raised in the Catholic Church. He was a member of House of Prayer Church of Lead Hill, Arkansas.  He had been in the United States seventeen years and obtained his American Citizenship in 2006.  Rodolfo retired from Tyson Foods in Green Forest.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  He loved dancing with his wife, Rosita.

Rodolfo was very energetic, he couldn't sit still and was constantly doing things.  When he finished his yard work he would go and help the neighbors with their yard work.  Even at his age and against his love-ones wishes, he still enjoyed climbing trees and shooting the local birds, since he didn't like the taste of chickens in the U.S.

Rodolfo Canoy is survived by five sisters; his sons Alexander (Rafaela) Canoy, Arnel (Bhebot) Canoy, Arnold (Rosalie) Canoy; his daughters, Analeah (Rick) Luft, Annabelle (Bernhardt) LaBastide and Alma (Jack) Hensley, Analiza Canoy-Null, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends throughout the community.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5 from 6-8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 6, 2017 at House of Prayer Church in Lead Hill with Pastor Dwayne Richardson officiating.  Interment will be at Enon Cemetery.
