Obituary
Rodney Dennis Amdahl, 80 of Harrison, AR and Browerville, MN, formerly of Litchfield, MN died April 11, 2011 at his home in Harrison.
Rodney was born on September 5, 1930 in Duluth, MN, the son of Johnny and Nora (Samstad) Amdahl. He attended grade school in the rural Litchfield area and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1948 and later from the Minneapolis Business College.
On July 7, 1956 he married Goldie DeHeer in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Atwater, Minnesota. They farmed south of Atwater for a time and then moved to Brooklyn Park where they lived for 37 years. After retirement they lived in Browerville, Minnesota and Harrison, AR splitting their time for the past 11 years.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie; daughter Kathie; son Kenneth (Carrie); daughter Karen (Scott) Herkes; five grandchildren, one sister Norma (Jim) Boemer and a host of friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Johnny; and mother Nora.
A celebration of life will be held at the home in Harrison at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 17th. Coffman Funeral Home is in charge of cremation and arrangements.
