Rocky Dale Chaney, age 63, of Alpena, Arkansas passed away at home on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 with his wife by his side.
The son of Norman "Dick" Chaney and Carmell Lee (Powell) Chaney was born in Harrison on July 2, 1961. He was a lifelong resident of Boone County and had worked in construction for over 25 years.
He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing, and he loved listening to music. Rocky was full of love and would do anything for anyone. He was selfless and put the needs of others above his own.
Rocky's family was everything to him. He was a dedicated provider and fiercely protective of his family. He loved and cherished his wife, Karen, she was the love of his life, and he would do anything and everything for her. To his children and grandchildren, he was their best friend. He adored his grandchildren and loved to sit in his yard and watch them play. His dog BamBam held a special place in his heart, she was always by his side.
Rocky lived a great life, and he got to do what he loved until the end. He was deeply loved by his family and left them with many beautiful memories to cherish for generations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Richard Chaney.
Rocky is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Chaney; his son, Brandon Chaney; his daughter, Ashley Chaney; three grandchildren, Casandra Chaney, who he raised like a daughter, Ashton Chaney, and Elijah Popejoy; his sister-in-law, Sharon Chaney; nephew, Eric Chaney; special cousins, Mike, Robin, and Jill; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, April 14, 2025 at Gass Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home. Bill Arnold will officiate.
There is no visitation.
