Obituary

Robert Lee Young, formerly of Marshall, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.  He was 87 years old.

The son of Francis and Mabel (McConnell) Young was born on January 5, 1937 in Mason City, Washington.

Robert was a retired veteran from the US Army.  During his 20 years of service, he fought valiantly in the Vietnam War where he served as a pilot and an aeronautics mechanic.  After his career in the army, Robert began his 25 year long career with Harps in Marshall.  He was a loving father and grandfather who loved is family, especially his dog, Star.  In his younger years, Robert was an active man who enjoyed yardwork and making sure other's yards were well taken care of.  He also enjoyed hunting and fishing and always looked forward to going to his favorite spot to trout fish. Robert's lifestyle of hard work and dedication was truly a blessing to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son, Robert (Kayla) Young; three grandchildren, Jaiden, Tristan, and Alivia; several brothers and sisters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A family conducted memorial service will be held at a later date.
