Obituary
Robert "Bob" Vencil Jones age 75 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Sunday, October 30, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of Robert Franklin and Stella Olga (Mika) Jones was born on July 16, 1941 in Ft. Worth, Texas.
Robert married Myrtle Camilla White on November 21, 1959. He served four years in the United States Air Force and twenty in the United States Navy. He retired as a machinist from Alcatel in Richardson, Texas.
Robert and Camilla moved to Newton County in 1992 from Texas. He was a member and a deacon at the Jasper First Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Austin Paul Jones.
Survivors are his wife Myrtle Camilla Jones of Jasper; two sons Kenneth Robert Jones and Brian Keith Jones both of Dallas, Texas; one daughter Charee Dawn Jones of Jasper; his step-mother Marie Jones of Ft. Worth, Texas; one brother Larry Lee Jones of Dallas, Texas; two half-sisters Michelle and Lisa both of Ft. Worth, Texas; three grandchildren Kayla Marie, Andrew and Tristan and many other family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Jasper First Baptist Church with Brother David Faught officiating. Burial will follow in the Nail Cemetery with military honors.
There will be no visitation.
Pallbearers will be the men of the Jasper First Baptist Church.
