Robert Edward Smith, age 81 of Dover, AR, passed away Friday, June 23, 2023.

The son of John Alvin and Ruth Mae Smith was born June 12, 1942, in Vendor, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Stanley Smith; his sisters, Carma Lee Smith, Lillian Owens, and Marilyn Kathleen Collins; and his great grandson, Ezekiel Ritchie.

Robert was of Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed hunting. He also enjoyed all animals and had many pets.

Robert is survived by his wife Jeanne Smith of Dover; his son Jeff Smith and his wife Misty of Dover; his daughters, Sheila Wellwood of Dover and Melissa Kent and husband Michael of Arizona; his stepchildren, Jerry Trimble and wife Tammy of Louisiana, and Dixie Sumners and husband Tom of Dover; his brothers, Venus Smith of Parthenon, and Harold Smith and wife Jovelyn of Vendor; his sisters, Patsy Adams and husband Arlie of Marble Falls, and Lavern Santos and husband Carlos of Rogers, AR; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday June 26, 2023, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Brother Harold Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Vendor, AR.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday prior to the service.

Pallbearers will be Tom Sumners, Tanner Kemp, Chad Smith, Arlie Adams, Jonathan Adams, and Carlos Santos.

Honorary pallbearers are Ryan Kent and Zachary Sumners.
