Obituary

Robert Allan "Bob" Johnson, age 96, of Everton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at home.

The son of Allan and Ruth (Petter) Johnson was born October 1, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force and served his country during the Korean War. As part of his military training, he attended USAF Navigator School. He was a flight navigator and flew 60 missions in a P260 aircraft. While in the service, he earned his United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Medal, and Distinguished Flying Cross. He was honorably discharged July 16, 1954.

He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He had a successful career for 39 years as an Aerospace Engineer for General Dynamics in San Diego, California.

Bob moved to Boone County, Arkansas 17 years ago from San Diego, California where he was a member of the First United Methodist Church of San Diego.

He was an active volunteer with NARMC Auxiliary and Thrift Store. Bob enjoyed reading and working around the farm. In his younger years, he was an avid golfer.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allan, his mother, Ruth, and sister, Doris.

Bob is survived by his children, Doug Johnson, Tom Biesiada, and Kathy Gillit; five grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

At Bob's request, no services will be held.
