Robert Earl Edgmon, age 60, of Low Gap, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
The son of Ward and Phyllis Edgmon was born on June 19, 1966 in Harrison, Arkansas.
On July 9, 1986, Robert met Mary Sue Colclasure in Lonoke, Arkansas, while he was helping lay a water line through the city. They were married exactly two years later on July 9, 1988. For 38 years, they enjoyed life together.
Robert spent most of his life logging the place that he called home. He ran a family sawmill business that he took great pride in. For the last five years, he worked as a caretaker for a family farm. Robert was the hardest worker, and he always left an impact wherever he went.
Robert loved everybody. The thing about Robert was that for all his size and strength, he was incredibly gentle. As big as he was, his heart was bigger. He never wanted to hurt a soul. Even at a young age, his daughter picked up on his giving heart. Every time Robert was getting rid of something, she'd ask, "Are you going to sell it for free?" If you ever crossed paths with Robert and somehow didn't become friends, it wasn't his fault.
Robert was saved on August 8, 2003. On August 4, 2007, he announced his calling to preach. On October 17, 2010, Robert Edgmon and Edward Ledbetter, were ordained by Elder Bobby Young, Elder Dorlan Sparks, and Brother Ward Edgmon.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ward Edgmon; and one brother, Roger Dale Edgmon.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue (Colclasure) Edgmon, of the home; one son and his wife, Jordan and Ashley Edgmon; one daughter and her husband, Alanna and Jacob Collins; three grandchildren, Hannah, Nate, and Hazel; his mother, Phyllis Edgmon; one brother and his wife, Randall and Karen Edgmon; two sisters and their husbands, Rhonda and Marvin Smith and Renee and Mark Breedlove; and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be at 1:00 PM followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM both on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper. Brother Bobby Young and Brother James Compton will officiate. Burial will follow at Mossville Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tommy Davis, Allen Manen, Brent Edgmon, Ronnie Davidson, Matt Smith, and Marcus Breedlove. Honorary pallbearers include Mike Cox, Leo Housden, Jesse Edgmon, Tyler Smith, Bryce Breedlove, Larry Bolinger, Kelvin House, Clint Martin, Caleb Raines, and Dr. Tom Langston and staff.
