Robert Edward (Bob) Boyle died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at his home in Omaha,
Arkansas. Bob was born on May 28, 1948 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He was the
son of the late Robert Charles Boyle and Mary Louise Krell.

At a young age his family relocated from Pennsylvania to Florida, and Bob spent his school age
years growing up in Seminole County in the area of Chuluota, Florida. Bob
attended Oviedo High School and graduated in 1967. Bob joined the United States
Navy and was assigned to the USN Construction Battalion "Seabees". Bob honorably
served his country for three tours during the Vietnam War. Upon his honorable
discharge from the United States Navy, Bob worked in a variety of positions.

Bob was married to Shirley Ann Ledford and they had two children, Dr. Michael P.
Boyle and Mrs. Diane Boyle Emerson. Growing up with their dad was strenuous at
times. He always pushed them to do more than they thought they could accomplish.
Bob loved to build things for other people. He was a master builder and went on
to help with the construction and remodeling of homes for many in the central
Florida area.

Having served his country overseas during the Vietnam War, Bob was declared
totally and permanently disabled. Bob attended Brevard Community College where
he received his Associate of Arts degree and the University of Central Florida.
He was a published author having written the novel "The Death of Two Victors,
Alpha and Charlie". He tinkered with old cars, and enjoyed owning a 1949 Mercury
convertible for a number of years.

Bob is survived by his widow, Shirley Ann Ledford Boyle, his sister, Maureen
Boyle Welsh, his son, Dr. Michael Boyle, daughter-in-law Willene Boyle; his
daughter, Diane Boyle Emerson, son-in-law Steve Emerson; seven grandchildren,
Stephen Edward Emerson IV, Elijah Robert Emerson, Mattea Grace Emerson, Roger
Michael Pace Jr., Jeremy Landrum Pace, Jordan Boyle, and Caleb Boyle and five
great-grandchildren. His remains were cremated and his ashes scattered at sea.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Gideon's
International.
