Richard Alan Handy, age 57, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 28, 2020 at home.

The son of James Richard Handy and Helen Louise Monter Handy was born in Alliance, Ohio on August 25, 1963.

Richard was raised in California and spent several years in Mena, Arkansas, before settling in Harrison a little over two years ago.

He was a hard worker, and worked as an auto mechanic all his life.  He was a car fanatic and a gear head.  He loved all things cars.  He was a loving, kind and strong-willed man.  He was a fighter, never giving up in the face of his illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jimmy and two sisters, Brenda and Linda.

Richard is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Cheyenne Handy and Emily Handy; Amy, Preston (Emily), Trent (Heather), Laura, Kyle and Russell; his siblings, David, John, and Janet, one grandchild. He is also survived by his nieces, Miesha, Janette, Lawrencia, Daysha and Amanda; his nephews, William, and Michael; great nephew, Damien, and many other extended relatives and friends.

Private services will be held at a later date.
