Richard Neal Chaney, age 66, of Bellefonte, Arkansas, passed away at home on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Richard was born in Harrison, Arkansas on September 8, 1956, to the late Norman Neal "Dick" Chaney and Carmell Lee (Powell) Chaney.

He has worked the past 35 years for the USDA Forest Service as a Forest Technician.  Richard enjoyed photography, road trips and spending time with his nieces and nephews.  He was a kind, gentle, and witty man.  He was loved by all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sharon (Farmer) Chaney; his son, Eric Neal Chaney and wife Samantha of Aloha, Oregon; his brother, Rocky Chaney and wife Karen; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

Graveside service will be at 2 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Gass Cemetery with Bill Arnold officiating.  There is no visitation.

Pallbearers are Eric Neal Chaney, Brandon Chaney, Mike Chaney, Rocky Chaney, Jim Whiteside, and Randy Paul.
