Obituary

Retha Marion Lewis, 87 of Everton, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Hillcrest Home in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of Jim and Retha (Bearden) Henson was born April 12, 1928 at Pindall, Arkansas.

She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of this area. She was a member of Western Grove Bible Church and Pindall Church of Christ. Retha loved flowers, gardening, cooking, canning, fishing and being outdoors. She loved her family and having them together, and loved her many grandkids, great grands and great-great grands dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Claud Lewis on October 16, 2014; her son, Kenneth "Mouse" Lewis, her daughter, Julie Sims; 1 brother, Bill Henson, 1 sister, Madge Henson, a grandson, Scott Lewis; 2 great grandchildren, Kayden McAfee and Leslie McCutcheon; 3 sons-in-law, Dean McAfee, Devon Brown and Melvin Sims; and 2 daughters-in-law, Billie Joe Lewis and Sharon Lewis.

Retha is survived by 4 daughters, Judy McCutcheon (Randy) of Richland, AR; Reta McAfee (David) of Pindall, AR; Brenda Oliver (Jerry) of Alpena, AR; Sharon Brown of St. Joe, AR; 6 sons, Michael "Chester" Lewis (Dana) of St. Joe, AR; Ernest Lewis of Bergman, AR; David Lewis (Nina Mae), Dale Lewis (Betty) and Earl Lewis (Lena) all of St. Joe, AR; Ray Lewis (Sue) of Harmon, AR; a brother, Alvie; 2 sisters, Eula Mae and Betty Ann; 28 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 1 on the way, 28 great-great grandchildren and 5 on the way; and many other relatives and friends who loved her and will mourn her passing.

Services are Friday, March 18, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Coffman Chapel in Harrison with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating. Burial will follow at Western Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Shannon, Brandon, Eldon and Remington McAfee, Joshua McCutcheon, Waylon, Steven and Erik Lewis, Deland Brown, Landen Walker and Donnie Hale.

Honorary Pallbearers are all of her grandchildren and great & great-great grandchildren, Cassie Walker, Austin Lewis the staff of Hillcrest Nursing Home and especially her Pinnacle Hall family and staff and Teresa Journagan.

Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
