Reta Faye McAfee, age 63, of Pindall, Arkansas, passed away at home on December 17, 2024.

The daughter of the late Claud and Retha (Henson) Lewis was born in Harrison, Arkansas on January 6, 1961. She was a 1979 graduate of Western Grove High School and had attended Western Grove Bible Church for many years.

She married the love of her life, Eldon Dean McAfee, Jr., on April 8, 1978. Together, they raised 3 sons, and she has missed him every day since his passing on November 10, 2006.

Reta was a solid rock of strength and support to her boys and their families. She loved them big, and they loved her. She was tough and worked hard, everything from the log woods, to carrying a feed sack, to chasing chickens. Reta thought the world of her family and friends. She loved to travel and was always up for an adventure. She was giving and generous, never thinking twice if it was her last, and it would put her out for weeks or more.

Reta was proud of her boys and adored her grandkids. She loved them all unconditionally and she will be dearly missed.

She has been reunited in death with her parents, her husband, Dean McAfee, a sister, Julie Sims; two brothers, Kenneth "Mouse" Lewis and Dale Lewis; a granddaughter, Kayden McAfee; a brother-in-law, Melvin Sims; her father and mother-in-law, Eldon McAfee, Sr., and Naomi McAfee; and a sister-in-law, Debbie Williams.

Reta leaves behind her beloved sons and their wives, Shannon and Justine McAfee, Brandon and Jamie McAfee, and Eldon and Kayla McAfee; her 10 precious grandchildren, Remington, Devon, Jacob, Riley, Dominic, Tony, Levi, Dean, Ella, and Emmie; and 1 precious great grandson, Colt; numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the family who have been there for Reta and were always willing to help her, including Sharon, Sheila, Chester, Dana, Earl, Lena, and Ralph Mills.

Visitation will be Friday, December 20 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Saturday, December 21 (2024) at Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Dennis Sisco officiating. Burial will follow at Western Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Clint Morris, Steven Baker, David Smith, Utah Shockley, Rodney Smith, and Josh Smith.
