Reed Harrison, age 88 of Lowell, Arkansas went to his heavenly home Friday, July 10, 2009 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.

He was born February 5, 1921 in Jasper, Arkansas to Austin and Maude (Phillips) Harrison. He was a retired cattle farmer and construction worker. He had lived most of his life in Jasper and Parthenon, living in Lowell later in life to be closer to some of his children. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in Iran. He was a member of Springdale United Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leon Harrison and Wayne Harrison; two sisters, Edna Mae Coonts and Janice Fowler; and one granddaughter, Mona Louisa Hernandez.

Survivors are three brothers, Henry Harrison and wife, Helen of Demopolis, Alabama, Jack Harrison and wife, Peggy of Jasper, and Wallace Harrison also of Jasper; two daughters, Roselea Hernandez and husband, Rey of Rogers, Arkansas and Anna Mae Drittler and husband, James of Lowell; three sons, Junior Harrison and wife, Kathy of Lowell, Johnny Harrison and wife, Brenda also of Lowell, and Jimmy Harrison and wife, Susan of Muse, Oklahoma; the mother of his five children, Helen Louise Harrison; ten grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Services were Monday, July 13, 2009 at the funeral home chapel with Mark Wood officiating.

Burial followed in Union Hill Cemetery with pallbearers being grandsons and great-grandsons, Robert Harrison, James Harrison, Zachariah Conner, Cody Harrison, Nick Bowen, Jacob Peters, Dylan Peters, Seth Guthrie, Justin Pantoga, Joshua Jacobson, Ryan Pantoga, and Jeremy Jacobson.
