IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Raymond
Morris
November 1, 1935 – December 25, 2021
Raymond D. "Banty" Morris of Anderson Flat, Arkansas received his ultimate Christmas Gift as he entered into the city where the Lamb of God is the eternal light. His loving wife, Shirley, of more than 60 years, was by his side as he passed peacefully into his eternal home on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021, at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas.
Raymond spent his working years with Claridge Products, putting in over 45 years. After retirement, he and his wife Shirley were able to take vacations to the Great Smokey Mountains, where he loved Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Raymond and Shirley loved going out to eat every day, somewhere, (in their little red car), maybe even twice a day, then late in the evening, make their third trip to get ice cream. He loved driving the countryside on their side-by-side. Raymond was an avid coyote and fox hunter and he also enjoyed deer and turkey hunting. He loved the outdoors, his family and his God. Raymond gave his life to God in August of 1961 in Pindall, Arkansas. His life was forever changed.
Raymond was born November 1, 1935, to Alf and Lorean (Trammell) Morris of St. Joe, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Roy (Olive) Morris, Donna (Cotton) Thurman and Ralph Morris and a great grandson, Tate Thornton.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Shirley Morris of the home; son, Jim (Tracy) Morris and daughter, Rita (Michael) McEntire, all of Anderson Flat; grandsons, Brent (Michelle) Morris and Clint (Tiffany) Morris all of Western Grove; granddaughters, Katy (Jake) Thornton of Harrison and Kara Jones (Drew Baker) of Western Grove; great grandchildren, Tamara, Tia, Brody, Eli, Jesse, Kyler and Mya Morris, Oaklee Willliams, Rayden Thornton, Rowland Limperis, Ryeland and Raylann Eli; a sister-in-law, Debbie Morris of Anderson Flat; his lifelong friend, Floyd Crow, and a host of nieces and nephews.
