Raymond "Ray" Smith, of Harrison, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Hospice of the Hills House in Harrison.  He was 88 years old.

The son of Lawrence and Pearl (Warner) Smith was born on November 9, 1935 in Leon, Iowa.

Ray was the proprietor of Ray's Auto Sales that he began in 1978. In 1999, Ray founded, built (along with his son), and pastored Life Harvest Church on Highway 7 North.  He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  Ray was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his son, Marvin Smith; and his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Delores Smith, of the home; one daughter and her husband, Julie and Bernard Brannon, of Dallas, TX; three grandsons, Brent Brannon, Mike Brannon, and Brandon Smith; one step granddaughter, Kristin Hicks and husband, GB; four great grandsons, Garrett, Brody, Wyatt, and Jacob Brannon; three step great grandsons, Benjamin, Jonathan, and Nathan Hicks; one great great granddaughter, Cynthia; one sister, Myrna White; one brother, Steve Smith; two brothers-in-law, Rex Davis and wife, Lola and Marty Davis and wife, Louise; daughter-in-law, Carol Smith; two nieces, Kathy and Brenda; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM both on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.  Rev. Jethey Henson will officiate.  Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
