Randy "Decker" Rogers, age 47 of Lead Hill, AR, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 in Springfield, Mo. The son of Kenny Rogers and Mae Rogers, was born September 4, 1959 in Harrison.
Service was Saturday, Feb. 10, 2007 at Monarch Tabernacle Church with Kevin and Craig Rogers officiating. Visitation was Friday at Coffman Chapel in Harrison. Burial followed in Milum Cemetery at Lead Hill.
Pallbearers were Robert Honeycutt, Kevin Honeycutt, David Honeycutt, Duane Richey, Steve Burleson, and Joel Tabor.
Honorary Pallbearers included his fellow school board members; all his past pee-wee basketball players that he coached; Aunt June Williams, Steve Bernard, Randall Jackson, and Mike Moore.
He was very active in the school and community, serving 10 years on the Lead Hill School Board. He loved all sports, especially Lead Hill Tiger basketball. Decker touched many lives and was loved by all and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother and son, Bryan Anthony Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Colene; one son, Derek Rogers of the home; his father, Kenny Rogers; two brothers, Donnie "Duck" Rogers, Cotton Rogers and his wife, Misty; one sister, Debbie Richardson and her son Heath; 9 nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
