Ralph B. Lofton, age 68, of Harrison, AR passed away Sunday, April 6, 2008 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, in Harrison.

The son of K.P. and Lydia (McLaughlin) Lofton, was born December 9, 1939 in Gilbert, LA.

He had lived in this area since 1966, moving from Louisiana. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Cuban Crisis from 1961-1964. He attended The Church of the Nazarene and was also a siding installer for Judy's Insulation. He loved to play cards with friends and watch his grandchildren play sports. He loved his grandchildren deeply.
His parents and one brother, K.P. Lofton, Jr., preceded him in death.

Survivors are his wife, Margie (Conley) Lofton, of the home; son, Ralph "Frankie" Lofton and his wife, Susan, of Elkins, AR; daughters, Kim Elam and her husband, David, of Solgohachia, AR, Kelly Lofton, of Bellefonte, AR, and Kristi M. Xu and her husband, Andrew YuJun, of Little Elm, TX; brother, W.P. Lofton, of Winnsboro, LA; sisters, Doris Gough, of Oak Grove, LA and Yvonne Burns, of Foley, AL; grandchildren, Brian Dale Lofton, Brandon Steven Lofton, Jessica Louisa Lofton, Skyler Allen Gentry, Thomas Franklin Lofton, Jon Eric Lofton, and Kayla Dajuan Roberts; and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 8, 2008 with funeral service Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison. Rev. Sam Boyd officiated.

Other services were Thursday at Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA with burial following in Gwinn Cemetery at Mangham, LA. Pallbearers were Shannon Ford, Tim Graves, James Daniels, Scott Daniels, Brad McLean, and David Looper. Honorary pallbearers are employees of Judy's Insulation.
