Obituary
Ralph Harry Johnson, age 89 of Wayton, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of Harry and Linda (Boone) Johnson was born December 17, 1923 at Wayton, Arkansas.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a forklift operator for National Gypsum Company in Medicine Lodge, Kansas for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Irene Johnson, whom he was married to for 65 years until her death on January 17, 2011; his son, Eugene Johnson; a grandson, Triston Johnson; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors are his children, Barbara Beagley of Jasper, Arkansas, Gary Johnson and wife Charlene of Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Brenda Voth and husband David of Arkansas City, Kansas, Bonnie Boyle and husband Dennis of Wayton, Arkansas, Bryan Johnson of Jasper, Arkansas, and Teresa Johnson Meadows and husband Justin of Clinton, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law, Susan Johnson Roman of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; sister, Algie Arbaugh and husband Lloyd of Hayden, Idaho; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Service was Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Wayton Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Tony Taylor officiating.
Burial followed in Snow Cemetery at Wayton with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
There was open visitation at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, Arkansas on Friday, January 11, 2013.
