Rafaela "Ela" Rico Canoy, age 50 of Green Forest, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 19, 2016.
The daughter of Cornelio Rico and Victoria Langcaun was born on October 24, 1965 in Albay, Philippines.
Ela was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Bimbot Rico; a sister, Teresita Ibsalin and a brother, Leonardo Rico.
Ela is survived by her husband, Rodolfo Canoy of Green Forest; a son, Alexander Rico of the Philippines; 2 daughters, Sally Rico and Sheila Rico of the Philippines; 4 step-daughters, Alma Hensley of Lead Hill, Arkansas, Leah Canoy-Luff of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anna LaBastide of Chicago, Illinois and Annaliza Null of Green Forest, Arkansas; 1 brother, 2 sisters, 3 grandchildren and many others who will mourn her passing.
A visitation will be held Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison, Arkansas.
Ela will be missed by her family, friends and all her loved ones. Ela was a bright and loving light to all who knew her.
The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to Ela and us during the past months.
