Rachel McCutcheon, age 90, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Friday, December 11, 2009 at her home.
The daughter of Ernest R. Dean and L. Pearl (Wells) Dean was born November 25, 1919 in Snowball, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norva McCutcheon; her daughter, Linda Diane Fuller; her brothers, Darrell, Carthel, Lunce, and Jack Dean; and her sisters, Ava Work and Magdalene McWherter.
Rachel was a member of the Bellefonte Church of Christ. She loved shopping, working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren. She is a
former resident of Searcy county and lived in Harrison for 55 years.
Rachel McCutcheon is survived by her son, E.R. Taylor and his wife Carol of Harrison; her daughter, Teresa Halsted and her husband Kenny of Harrison; her brother, Fletcher Dean of Western Grove, Arkansas; her sisters, Ruth Snow of Marshall, Arkansas and Estelle Shandy of Billings, Montana; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Mrs. McCutcheon's funeral service was Monday, December 14, 2009 at Bellefonte Church of Christ with Jim Gaskill and Ray Crawford officiating. Burial followed in Maplewood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Thomas Dean, Kent Kimes, Nick Kimes, Keith Dean, Wes McWherter, and Ben Snow. Honorary pallbearers were Alan Dean, Eddie Dean, Dr. Blake Chitsey, and 3rd floor staff of North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
Visitation was Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
