Perry Earl Woodman, age 69 of Western Grove, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his home.
The son of Dewey P. and Edna (Grinder) Woodman was born July 13, 1944 in Clarinda, Iowa.
Perry spent most of his young life in St. Joe before enlisting in the U.S. Navy in 1961. He continued his military career for the next 26 years before retiring in 1987.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Dewey Robert Woodman and a granddaughter, Hannah Luftman.
Survivors are his wife of 20 years, Jacqueline (Jarrett) Woodman of the home; daughters, Shane Scarborough of Marion, Illinois and Crystal Nickels of Goose Creek, South Carolina; son, Perry Allen Woodman of Western Grove; sisters, Jean Blanchard of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Joan Beringer of Yorktown, Iowa, Dorothy Wilson of Western Grove, and Alene Berringer of Missouri; brother, Mitchell Grinder of St. Joe; nine grandchildren, Jonathan Scarborough, Charity Scarborough, Alec Guyette, Lee Luftman, Evan Pratt, Morgan Byars, Jesse Byars, and Austin Nickels; a special aunt, Cindy Grinder of St. Joe; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation was Friday, January 17, 2014 with the service Saturday, January 18, 2014, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Chris Wyatt and Paul Holder officiated. Honorary Honor Guards were Matt Jarrett and Eden Jarrett.
Burial followed in Love Cemetery with pallbearers being Kenny Dean, Danny Dean, Tommy Wallace, Robert Jarrett, B. J. Jarrett, and Perry Allen Woodman.
