Obituary

Sylvia Josephine "Penny" Nalley, age 86 of Bergman, Arkansas passed away Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Hospice of the Hills Hospice House in Harrison, Arkansas.

The daughter of Benjamin and Jennie Ann (Stinnett) McGrew was born January 14, 1924 at Lead Hill, Arkansas.

Penny was a member of Lone Star Full Gospel Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to Church and also enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, and sewing. She especially enjoyed her family and her grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death, along with her husband, Luie Welzie Nalley; granddaughter, Lesa Michele Nalley-Aprea; daughter-in-law, Mary Edith Nalley; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her children, Sam Nalley, Don Nalley and wife, Ruby, and Karen Pederson and husband, Gerald, all of Bergman; brother, Park McGrew of Lead Hill; sisters, Bennie Dixon of Lead Hill, Ruthie Rogers of Harrison, and Virgie Wilkinson of Harrison; ten grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Tuesday, April 6, 2010 with the service Wednesday, April 7, 2010, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Rev. Frank Whiteside officiated and Dustin Phifer assisted with the service.

Burial followed in Locust Cemetery at Lead Hill with pallbearers being Penny's grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers were members of Lone Star Full Gospel; the staff of Hospice of the Hills Hospice House; and Dr. Charles Klepper.
