Obituary

Peggy Annette Savage, of Everton, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was 80 years old.

The daughter of Gillie and Marie (Potter) Potts was born on January 10, 1943, in Everton, Arkansas.

Peggy began teaching at her alma-mater, Valley Springs, when she was 19 years old and continued to teach there for 38 years. She was a lifetime member of the Valley Springs Methodist Church and the Everton Methodist Church. She loved to lead Sunday school and play the hymns on the piano for Sunday services. She was a member of the Rally Hill Friendship Club and the Harrison Ukulele Band. She also enjoyed playing bridge with Karen, Judy, and Betsy every week, traveling the world with her friend Mary Smith, and of course tending to her dog Izzy.

She is preceded in death by her parents Gillie and Marie Potts

She is survived by sons Mike Savage and wife Anita of Valley Springs, and Terry Savage and wife Lisa of Fort Worth Texas; five grandchildren Nolan, Travis and Danielle Savage of Fort Worth, TX, Alex Hale and wife Hannah of Harrison, and Morganne Savage of Valley Springs; two great-grandchildren Beckett and Hattie Hale of Harrison; brother, Tom Potts and wife Donna of Everton; nephew Ryan Reeves and wife Sheila of Valley Springs; nieces, Amy Deaton and husband Vince of Everton, Allison Robinson and husband Justin of Harrison, Melissa West and husband Nelson of Everton, and Cindy Potts and Randy Rea of Everton and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be held Friday, June 30th, at 10:00 a.m. at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Dave Smith and Pastor Debbie Fink officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29th, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Alex Hale, Jarrett Ray, Brad Potter, Shawn Potter, Ryan Reeves, and Vince Deaton.

Honorary pallbearers are Travis Savage, Nolan Savage, Morganne Savage, Danielle Savage, Tom Potts, Paul Smith, Nelson West, Randy Edwards, Doug Thompson.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Washington Regional Medical Center, especially nurse Kimberly Langert.
