Obituary
Peggy Nell Howell, age 73 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 in Harrison, Arkansas.
The daughter of Gerald and Mollie (Abel) McFarlin was born on December 5, 1939 in Hico, Texas.
Peggy loved training horses. She was a member of the Newton County Roundup Club, Ladies Auxiliary of the Jasper VFW and the Newton County Fair Board where she served as secretary for many years. She also was a member of the Gum Springs Church.
Peggy was married to Robert "Bob" Howell in July 1972. They moved to Newton County from Escondido, California about 37 years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Vickie Baker; husband, "Bob" Howell and two brothers, Rufas McFarlin and Jerry Don McFarlin.
Survivors are a granddaughter, Renee McCutcheon of Mt. Judea, Arkansas; a great-grandson, Alexander McCutcheon of Mt. Judea, Arkansas; two nephews, Tracy McFarlin of Chandler, Arizona and Glen McFarlin of Gillette, Wyoming; one niece, Stacy Germann of Gillette, Wyoming and a sister-in-law, Vivian McFarlin of Gillette, Wyoming.
Funeral services were Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper with Carl McCutcheon officiating. Burial follow in Jasper Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers were Lynn Villines, Len Waters, Joseph Carter, Randy Richardson, Mack Cook and Lester Daniels.
