Peggy Lynn (Robinson) Hampton was born June 29, 1958, in Clarksville, AR., the daughter of Norman and Gussie Robinson, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, August 1, 2010 after a long battle with cancer.
Peggy married her best friend, Lester, on October 26, 1974 when they were 16 and 17 years old. Peggy and Lester were inseparable for over 35 years. They were blessed with two wonderful children, Shelley and Stan. These four have done everything together and have made wonderful memeories. They especially enjoyed family vacations, car shows and trips to Branson to eat and enjoy Starbucks coffee with family and friends. Peggy had a gift for friendship and if you ever met her you would soon learn she was a true Elvis fan.
Peggy attended Crossroads Community Church and was an employee of FedEx. She attended Deer High School and graduated from North Arkansas College in 2000.
She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Robinson; a sister, Norma Robinson and her brother Bill Williams.
Peggy Hampton is survived by her husband of 35 years, Lester of Harrison; her daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Todd Malone of Harrison; her son Stanley and fiance' Monica Carlton of Harrison; Her mother, Gussie Phillips of Clarksville, AR.; her sisters, Alice Gilbert of Houston, TX., Suzanne Casey of Clarksville, AR.; Georgia and her husband Bill Adams of Harrison; Brothers, John and wife Marilyn Bowman of Hartwell, GA and James and wife Karen Robinson of Tacoma, WA and many, many relatives and friends who loved her so much and look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
Visitation was Tuesday August 3, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral Service was Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Crossroads Community Church with Brother Johnny Walters, Brother Robert Boen, and Brother Paul Braschler officiating. Burial followed in Coleman Cemetery in Pelsor, AR.
Pallbearers were Tobb Gilbert, Rick Cross, Randy Teltow, Roger Hampton, Spanky Woods, Jeff Adams, Mike Adams, and Kenny Gilley.
Honorary pallbearers included; Dr. Cathy Clary, her FedEx family, Crossroads Community Church family, Jeff Minor. The 76er's (classmates), and Dawn Whiteside and all the staff at Hospice of the Hills.
