Obituary
Peggy Jean Batson, age 79 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 7, 2014 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
The daughter of William Sheeley and Rosa Lee (Pollard) Pleasant was born November 2, 1934 in Leachville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Eli Batson, Sr.; two daughters, Theresa and Sheila Batson; sister, Nadine Scalley; two brothers, Edgar and Ezra Pleasant; and a granddaughter, Amanda Batson.
Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Eli Batson II and Fay Batson of Harrison; brother, Bill Pleasant and wife Myrna of Springdale, Arkansas; sister, Betty Dene Caery and husband James of Foreman, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Sabrina Batson, Thomas Eli Batson III, Rachel Batson, Jason Batson, and Aaron Batson; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation and arrangements have been handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Memorial service was Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at Elmwood Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Bryant and Pastor Arlis Thrasher officiating.
