Obituary
Pauline Blankenship, age 90 of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008 at home. The daughter of John Collins Ashby and Sally Ann (Stanley) Ashby-Sharp, she was born October 13, 1917 at Everton, Arkansas.
Pauline graduated from Olvey Special School in 1936 and was married to Presley "P.D." Blankenship on December 15, 1945 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She worked at Boeing Airplane Factory in Tulsa from September 1942 to Novemer 1944.
She loved to cook for her family and friends, and always enjoyed sitting and talking with her visitors.
Her parents and her husband, Presley, all preceded her in death.
Survivors include her three children, John Blankenship, Jo Ann McEntire and husband, Harold, and Mary Clark; seven grandchilden; five great grandchildren; six nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Visitation was Thursday with services Friday, both at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Burial followed at Crawford Cemetery with Bro. Charles Taylor officiating. Pallbearers were Keith Blankenship, Clint Blankenship, Randall Spears, Tony Lewellen, Harold McEntire, and James McEntire. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Hospice of the Hills.
