Paul Raymond Merritt, 57 of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 8, 2020.

The son of Paul Richard Merritt and Patricia Creek was born at Beatrice, Nebraska on October 9, 1962.  He was a veteran of the US Navy.

Paul enjoyed hunting and especially fishing, spending as much of his free time as possible on the lake.  He was hardworking and loved his family.  He also enjoyed listening classic rock music.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Creek and his brothers Clifford Creek, Steven Creek, and David Merritt and sister Barbara Heusman.

Paul is survived by his father, Paul Richard Merritt of CA; his children, Ashlie Bennett and husband Eric of Seymour, MO and Aaron Merritt of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Wyett, Austin, Sydnie, Sayer and Leyanne; the mother of his children, Norma Thomas of Harrison; three brothers, Terry Creek, Jim Merritt and Johnny Creek; a sister, Cora Betts and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private lakeside memorial service will be held at a later date.
