Paul Raymond Archer, age 82 of Bergman, Arkansas passed away Friday, February 18, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas.
The son of William Tracy and Lyda (Andrews) Archer was born December 15, 1928 in Benton, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, B.T., Richard, and Robert Archer.
Paul had lived most of his life in this area, was a farmer, a member of Bergman Volunteer Fire Department, a retired bus driver for Bergman Schools, and a former member of the Bergman School Board. He was also the founding member of the Bergman Class of '47 Coffee Club.
He married his wife, Marie (Smith)on December 17, 1949.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Archer of the home; sons, Tracy and wife, Myra of Monett, Missouri and Mitchell and wife, Michele of Bergman; daughter, K'dora and husband, Kenny Couch of Elkins, Arkansas; brother, Dale Archer and wife, Glenda of Owasso, Oklahoma; sister, Glyndora Theising of Kokomo, Indiana; and grandchildren, Grace, Paul Brayden, Jordan, Chyanne, and Zachary Archer and Olivia and Kenna Couch. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Visitation was open Sunday, February 20, 2011 (the family will not be present).
Service was Monday, February 21, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Larry Anderson officiating.
Burial followed in York Cemetery at Bergman with pallbearers being Steve Brannon, Dennis Archer, Mike Archer, Brian Archer, Jeff Atkinson, and Alan Pritchett. Honorary pallbearers were the Bergman Volunteer Fire Department, Bergman Class of '47, and Gene Black.
