IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patty
Martin
May 12, 1937 – February 22, 2026
Patty Martin, age 88, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at Cox Medical Center in Branson on February 22, 2026 at 6:45 PM with her sons by her side.
Patty Marie (Wilson) Martin was born in Branson, Missouri at 3:15 AM on May 12, 1937 to George Marion Wilson and Audie Edith (Macomb) Wilson.
She was raised in Branson on Bee Creek hill where she lived a simple but hard life for the times, along with her siblings, Ethel, Joe, Jim, and Shirley. She went to school at Boston Center and graduated from Branson High School in 1956.
She left Branson after graduation for Kansas City, then moved back to Branson for a time, before moving to Harrison and finally settling in Bergman where she raised her sons with her life partner, Clyde Vaughn. After her sons were grown, she remained in Bergman until 2016 when she moved in with her son, Vernon, as a welcome edition after losing Clyde in 2013.
She worked at many jobs over her life where she made many lifelong friends. Her last job was with McKesson in Harrison from which she retired in 2000 after 20 years.
Throughout life and after retirement, she enjoyed many hobbies. Bowling was her favorite hobby, participating in League bowling for over 40 years. She also loved crocheting, hunting, fishing, puzzles, Yahtzee, Scrabble, flying planes, and dirt track racing. She enjoyed garage sales, thrift store shopping, and watching Wrestling, NASCAR, and Wheel of Fortune. Above all else, she dearly loved spending time with all her grandkids and great grandkids. Family was everything to her, from her immediate family all the way to the farthest cousin in the family tree.
She was a very colorful woman when it came to her attire. You would never see her without her outfits being matched from her earrings all the way down to her shoes.
She will definitely be remembered for her humor, her never ending love of friends and family and her very outgoing personality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Audie; two sisters, Jesse Pearl Wilson and Shirley Kay Wilson; two brothers, Joseph George Wilson and Jimmie Lawerance Wilson; her life partner, Clyde Vaughn and his son, Lloyd Delbert Vaughn; her beloved daughter-in-law, Leslie Charlene (Ramsey) Wilson; brother-in-law, Haul (Butch) McLemore; and most recently, her best friend in life, Lola Belle Schnell.
Patty is survived by her older sister, Mary Ethel McLemore (Butch); her two sons, Jimmie Joe Wilson (Leslie) and Vernon Lee Martin (Cindy); two sisters-in-law, Mary Wilson (Joe) and Jolene Wilson (Jim); five grandchildren, Justin, Nathan, Austin, Darian, and Laryssa; seven great grandchildren, Kamryn, Alexis, Bailey, Allianna, Sadie, Tucker, and Millie; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
